So when you are going to play electric guitar,you have start to know guitar amp,guitar pedal or other guitar accessories.Once you get a guitar and an amp, the next step is to explore effects.Guitar pedal effect can be separated into groups according to their functions. Learning the different pedal groups is the key to getting the best sound when chaining them together.
It is significant to follow a few basic guidelines when you start running multiple effects pedals for you guitar in a series.There are not really any rules, but they are meaningful that you may like to start with.
Rule 1
It is key to have your guitar distortion pedals as the leaders of your chain because they are the basic of your guitar tone. Placing these pedals first in your chain to make sure that you are only distorting your true guitar sound. Although most of the modern rock guys place it after distortion to make the frequency sweep cleaner. but as for me, I would rather play the Wah before distortion, but it's personal taste really. Depends a bit on the pedal too - how wide the frequency notch is and what frequency range it covers.Your foot moving control the frequency of the Wah boosts,and phasers cut a frequency electronically, so they are kinda similar.
